NETBALL
Dear Netball Families,
The Tamworth Winter Netball Season for 2020 has finished for the year. A massive thank you to the coaches who give up their valuable time to coach our teams. Well done to our players who played with their usual high level of sportsmanship, regardless of their opposition. A big congratulations to the Year 6 Storm who ended up winning their final to win the 11/12B division. A massive clap to the Year 4 teams, who only had 7 and 8 players apiece. A special mention to the Year 4 TimTams who had 7 players and tried their best every single game. Hopefully, we can wrangle more players next year.
On Tuesday 20th October (Week 2), I will be handing out lolly bags to the kinder skills girls, whistles to Year 6 and a mixture of medals and trophies to our netball teams. Please note that we gave the coaches a choice of awarding either trophies or medals to teams for this year only, due to COVID reducing our season by half. A full account of the recipients will be in next week's newsletter/Facebook page.
On Wednesday 21st October (Week 2) at 6pm I will be hosting a Zoom AGM for 2020. If you wish to be a part of this Zoom meeting, please email me so I can give you the meeting details, agenda and a copy of last year's AGM minutes.
Finally, thank you mums and dads for taking your children to netball and coping with the COVID changes. What a season!

FUTSAL
Teams for Futsal have now been organised and notes handed out regarding the teams. Please make sure that you register using the link sent on the team notes. Remember that you can use your Active Kids voucher for this. Games start on Monday 19th October. Keep an eye on the Northern Inland Football website for the draw.
TOUCH FOOTBALL
The season has begun with all our players turning up and enjoying the game.
All players have received information regarding Covid-19 restrictions, in particular only 1 spectator per child, please. At each game, there will be a clipboard to write your name and mobile, please look for this, thankyou.
***Kinder, Yr 1, Yr 2, Yr 3 and Yr 4 teams please note the change in the start time of 4.20 pm to alleviate the congestion of players and spectators leaving and entering the fields for the next round. See you there.
BASKETBALL
Attention current players: Tamworth Basketball is offering a shortened, 6 week Summer Competition to end the year. The competition will run from the 5th Nov - 10th Dec with NO finals. This season will cost $55 per player. Teams will simply be rolled over from this season, meaning no team changes will be made. Teams will only be rolled over if there is enough interest as each team must have 7 players, with the payment of $55 made before the competition starts. (Please note, if there is enough interest in current teams without 7 players, all efforts will be made to fill these teams to allow for inclusion in the competition).
A survey has been emailed to all current families seeking your input on participation in this season (a separate form is to be filled out for each child). Please ensure this form has been completed by Friday 18th September. If you have not received the form, please email Mrs Hofman (rhofman@arm.catholic.edu.au).

WATER POLO
Welcome to the start of a new Water Polo season!
Competition Dates
The pool opens on the 12th October 2020 and there will be 2 weeks of come and try days to finalise teams. Week 3 will be the first week of the competition.
Junior Girls competition (Monday Night) – Come and try days 19 & 26 October. Competition commences Nov 2nd. There are 2 age divisions, U15 and U17.
Junior Boys competition (Tuesday Night) – Come and try days 20 & 27 October. Competition commences Nov 3rd. There are 2 age divisions, U15 and U17.
Flippa ball will commence with 2 come and try days this Sunday 18 and 25 October at 9-10am with competition commencing 1st November. Unfortunately due to the limited pool space with only one pool available we are running the Flippaball on a Sunday morning again this year.
For the first 2 weeks, committee members will be available to assist grading teams and players into the most appropriate grading.

Players should register prior to the beginning of Week 3 through the online registration system https://www.revolutionise.com.au/tamworthwpc/registration/
Unregistered players after this time will not be permitted to enter the water as they are not covered by insurance. We would appreciate your help in passing this message to players.
