OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

We pray ...

We pray for... all of our St Nicholas School community members, for all Year 12 students, in particular, the McCarthy Catholic College students as they prepare to sit their HSC exams, and for Sherene Mathews (School Crossing Lady) who is recovering from illness.

OCTOBER IS THE MONTH OF THE ROSARY

For the month of October here at school staff and students have been rostered on to say a decade of the Rosary. You too may like to do this in your homes. The Rosary helps us to see our human lives in the light of Christ. It is a prayer that can be prayed at any time; however, its simplicity and repetition make the Rosary particularly helpful in life’s pauses, journeys, and moments of waiting.

OCTOBER IS MISSION MONTH - Crazy Sock Day

This year’s Catholic Mission theme is 'For the joy of the Lord is your strength'. Catholic Mission is asking that we join others throughout Australia to learn more about issues of mission and justice.

To support Catholic Mission Month our school will be having an awareness-raising day tomorrow Friday 16th October (Term 4 Week 1) where the students will be allowed to wear non-uniformed socks to school for the day. Being mindful of the current financial climate, this day is not about raising money but rather raising awareness and standing in solidarity, particularly with the people of Cambodia.
