Glen Eira Parent Information Night and Sustainability Workshop.

Parent Information Night.

This is an opportunity for parents and guardians, as well as young people, to attend an online presentation that will equip you with information and tips to better understand the transition from primary school to secondary school.

Glen Eira Youth Services has been successfully delivering this program for many years and will use their knowledge and experience to provide strategies on how to partner with your child to make this a positive transition experience. Parents and guardians will hear about common worries, stressors and anxieties expressed by students entering secondary school and how to best combat these as a team.

Youth Services will deliver a presentation followed by an extensive Q+A. This is your opportunity to submit any questions or concerns and draw on the experience of the Youth Services team.

Youth Sustainability Workshop and Consultation

Moving towards an environmentally sustainable Glen Eira – Help US Make a difference.

In the Glen Eira 2040 Vision consultation you told us that a green, sustainable environment is extremely important, and you want Glen Eira to be recognised as a leader. In May this year, Council committed to taking strong and fast action to curb our environmental impact by reducing carbon emissions. We set two ambitious targets of zero net corporate (Council) carbon emissions by 2025 and zero net community carbon emissions by 2030.

But with over 99% of Glen Eira’s annual emissions coming from the community (homes, schools, businesses, industry etc), Council can’t do it alone.

Tell us what you think Council should do, and how we can help you, to reduce our community’s environmental impact.

Join our online workshop on Friday 20 November from 4pm to 5.30pm.

Your input will help shape a four-year strategy and action plan (2021-2025) to meet our net zero emissions targets and make a difference. For each young person that attends, we’ll make a donation towards habitat restoration in Australia.

Bookings are essential.
