Indonesian Excursion to the City

On 28 March, students from Year 10 and VCE Indonesian classes went on an exciting excursion to the CBD. They attended the 17th Indonesian Film Festival at ACMI and watched the film 'Sunyi Sinyal,' which explored the challenges of parent-child relationships in the busy city. The students then put their Indonesian language skills to the test by participating in a swafoto activity, taking selfies in various locations around the city. Congratulations to the winners Sofia, Lauren, and Amaya who received a mystery prize!

After the activity, the students enjoyed a delicious Indonesian lunch at Kata Kita restaurant in La Trobe Street. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to practice their language skills and enjoy Indonesian cuisine. We were thrilled to see the students engaging with the culture and having fun on the day.

Indonesian Film Festival at ACMI

From Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 April, ACMI in Federation Square will host the Indonesian Film Festival. This event is an excellent opportunity for students and families to immerse themselves in Indonesian culture and language without having to leave the country. The festival will feature screenings of various Indonesian films, and viewers can participate in Q&A sessions with the creators and actors. The festival is open to everyone interested in Indonesian culture, and it's an exciting way to learn more about the language and culture. For more information and to book tickets, please visit the ACMI website.
