NAPLAN Tests

Attention Year 7 & 9 Parents – NAPLAN 2019
NAPLAN tests the sorts of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life, such as reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy. It is important to remember that NAPLAN is not about passing or failing, but about assessing learning progress. At the classroom level it is one of a number of important tools used by teachers to measure student progress.

NAPLAN paper tests
- 2019 NAPLAN paper tests: 14 - 16 May for all students in Years 7 and 9.
The NAPLAN tests will cover the areas of Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (grammar, spelling, punctuation) and Numeracy (non-calculator & calculator tests).
Later in the year you will receive your child’s individual report outlining how they performed in each test area.

If you wish to withdraw your daughter from the 2019 NAPLAN, please send a letter requesting this addressed to Mrs Robyn Cameron before the 8th May and a Student Withdrawal Form will be sent home for completion.
