Well done, Sam!

Sam Watkins is a hard-working student currently completing Senior VCAL. Last year she was deeply involved with the Bannockburn Youth Group. They spent some time visiting other youth groups in the region to get ideas about how their youth group could operate and activities that they could undertake.

Sam and her group decided that young people in Bannockburn and surrounds would benefit from a skating competition.

The competition was a success, with dozens of young skaters taking part.

Because of her tireless work on the project, Sam was nominated for Golden Plains Shire Young Citizen of the Year.

Although she was not the final choice for the award, Sam should be very proud of her achievements. Well done, Sam. We are proud of your efforts to be a help to your community.
