School Noticeboard

Transition to Summer Uniform

As we move into Spring, we have a transition period between our winter and summer uniforms.

From the beginning of Week 8 of Term 3 (9 September) through until the end of Week 2 of Term 4 (18 October), we will be in the transition period for the wearing of uniform. In this period, students may choose to wear either their full summer or winter uniform, depending upon weather conditions (students are not permitted to wear a combination of both).

From the beginning of Week 3, Term 4 (21 October) all students will be required to wear their full summer uniform. Please note school hats are to be worn during Term 4 and Term 1.

Normal requirements for Sports uniform continue throughout the entire year.

The way in which the School uniform is worn has a strong influence on how we feel about ourselves and the ways in which we are viewed by others. Every student’s standard of dress and grooming is expected to reflect well on both the individual and the School as a whole. Please familiarise yourself with these expectations which are outlined in the school handbook on the website.

Food Drive

Year 6 student and K-6 Student Leader Digby Newman is organising a food drive for Echuca Community Foodbank as part of his leadership position for the School. The food drive will run from Monday 9 - Thursday 19 September.

The Foodbank helps people in our local community who may be facing hardship or those that require some additional support. Digby has been speaking with Jim and Pauline Aitken who run the Community Foodbank for those in need.

The items they need the most are:

• Breakfast cereals

• Long life milk

• Tin food

• Toothpaste

• Toothbrushes

• Deodorant

• Soap

• Personal hygiene products

• Packaged food

• Long life products and non-perishables

From Monday 9 September it would be greatly appreciated if you could support this project by dropping off any items (as mentioned above) to either the Primary or Secondary School office.

Our school will be delivering our donations to Jim and Pauline on Thursday 19 September. Your support for this food drive and our local community is very much appreciated.

Lost property

If any of the below items may belong to your child, please see Marnie, Kylie or Lisa at the office to collect.

Footy boots, drink bottles, tupperware containers, sleeping bags, Mathoura football club bomber jacket and numerous school hats and casual caps.

Late students

It has come to our attention that some secondary students are arriving late to school without the appropriate form of communication.

A reminder to parents that late students (or those that are departing early) should either:

Provide an 'out of routine' form when arriving at school / leaving early

Or

Parents/Guardians are to fill in a late arrival/early departure eform via PCSpider.

In the instance that this cannot happen, a phone call or email to the school is also appropriate.

It is our Duty of Care to know where students are at all times.

Student Exchange

Year 9, 10 and 11 students are able to apply for student exchange departing in November/ December this year.

See flyer for details.
