Assistant Principal's Report

Congratulations!

On behalf of the College I would like to acknowledge and congratulate Gail Major on her achievement in being recognised by the Australian Council of Educational Leaders (ACEL) in being awarded a Victoria Fellowship. ACEL actively supports the development of educational leadership capabilities across Australia. ACEL is the largest professional association in the education sector in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

This acknowledgement by ACEL does not come easily.

We are very proud of the achievements of all of our staff and students; this includes Gail. She has achieved great things in her career to date and I’m sure she will continue to drive our school and education in general forward. You can read her accomplishments below.

Attendance - Everyday Counts

If you are a regular reader of the Score you will have noticed that we acknowledge students who have achieved 100% for each term/semester/year. As the year 12 students have now completed their classes we can acknowledge the students who attended every school day for the year.

Olivia Parsons

Bryce Prissmann

Avalana Pritchard

Attendance at school has many benefits – academically, socially, physically, emotional etc. For these students and the many others that we very close to 100% attendance displays a commitment to their education. It is also a great to show potential employers this commitment and work ethic. Well done!

Chris Clarke and Bryce Prissmann have not missed a school day in at least three years. This is a fantastic effort and displays great commitment to their education.

Save the Date - Orion Night

Orion Night will be held on Wednesday 12 December at a 1330 (thirteenthirty) Ferntree Gully Road, Scoresby. For families new to Scoresby Secondary College Orion Night is an evening where we celebrate the achievements of our students. The ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm. Students who will be receiving an award or who are being asked to perform on the night will receive a letter closer to the date.
