Education Perfect App

Students are reminded that the previous App, Language Perfect, has been superseded by a new App, Education Perfect.

Education Perfect Payments to Office

There are still students who have yet to pay for their 2016 Subscription to Education Perfect.

 

At the moment, all students are able to access Education Perfect to complete tests and homework tasks, however, the students who have not paid by Friday 11 March will have their access denied.

 

As Lilydale Books is not taking any more payments, the subscription amount of $22 must be paid to the School Office in envelope clearly marked with your child’s name, Home Group and ‘Education Perfect’ on the front.

Hosting Opportunity

A student from, Lycée Darchicourt, our sister- school in France, is wanting to come to Lilydale High School for 6 months.

 

Gabrielle would be arriving in Semester 2 and be with us until the end of the year.

'Southern Cross Cultural Exchange'

An information session will be held for students in Years 9-12 who are interested in participating in student exchanges with SCCE.

Payment of $35 is due, Wednesday 9 March.

 

The workshop will focus on the cultural aspect of the Year 9 French course outline and will provide students with an in depth knowledge of the contemporary Parisian cultural environment. 

Packed with conversation, this workshop will also enable students to discover the cultural icons of Paris and be acquainted with French celebrities.

The workshop will also give students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of related grammar and vocabulary.

Learning activities will include: reading comprehension exercises, listening activities, role plays, writing short paragraphs.

Some of the topics covered include: famous monuments and museums of Paris; Montmartre and its artists; past, present and future tense of verbs.

In the morning students will be treated to a French type breakfast.

Southern Cross Cultural Exchange

Southern Cross Cultural Exchange (a registered not for profit organisation) is seeking volunteer host families to host international exchange students from France arriving in mid May 2016 for a stay of one term.

 

Join a community of global friendship and learn about yourself!

Volunteer to host an international high school student from France arriving into Australia in May 2016 through Southern Cross Cultural Exchange and prepare to be amazed at the way this unique and rewarding opportunity helps your family to become closer, to understand themselves better and see the world in a new light.

 

You’ll have fun learning about cultural differences and language.

Carefully selected students from France will arrive in mid May for one term.  With excellent English language skills, they will attend a local Secondary High School, arrive, with their own spending money and comprehensive health insurance cover – all arranged by Southern Cross Cultural Exchange.
