Principal's Report

I would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which Kalinda Primary school gathers, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. I would like to pay my respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.

Lockdown over

As Lockdown #5 comes to an end I would like to thank the staff, students, and parents for the amazing resilience you have all shown throughout this time. It has been challenging for us all to go through this situation again and we are aware that the challenges for each family have been incredibly different.

We were so happy to have students back on-site and we are focusing on learning, attendance and wellbeing as we return to school. It is very important that students are at school on time every day (unless they are unwell) as we want to ensure that we can maximise learning outcomes for all students throughout this time.

We have communicated changes with you regarding staggered pick-ups and drop-offs and I would like to thank everyone in the community for adhering to these protocols with such little fuss.  We will keep you updated as these protocols change over time.

Excursions, performance, Athletics

We will communicate any updates to scheduled events (excursions, Athletics, etc) as we make decisions that are informed by DET protocols. we know that providing a broad curriculum with a range of enriching extra-curricular activities is crucial to student wellbeing, engagement and learning. Our staff will work hard to find alternative dates and bookings for activities impacted by the lockdown.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding and patience as events regularly move from when they were originally scheduled.

2022 Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for 2022 and it would be great to start receiving your enrolment forms for students beginning in Foundation (or at other levels next year). The sooner we receive enrolments, the sooner we can begin planning for next year. Please find the enrolment form below and it can be sent to the school via post (Kalinda Primary School, 39-49 Kalinda Rd, Ringwood 3134) or by email to kalinda.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au

For any new families to the school, you are able to book a tour via the link below:
