Hello, from our students and teachers.

Hello from Grade 3/4 W; Ms. Danielle Wadley.

It has been a very busy Term 4 here in Room 1. We have been doing lots of assessments, narrative writing and playing number games to practise place value.

Oh and don't forget about our excursion to Sovereign Hill and swimming.

Is it any wonder we are all feeling exhausted?!

Here is just some of what we have been up to.

Inquiry

Sovereign Hill Adventures...

Here are some happy snaps from the day! Miss Wadley bought some yummy lollies that we shared back at school and our feet were very weary after all that walking. Scroll to see some very sleepy cherubs on the bus home.

As a part of our inquiry unit, we have been learning about the olden days, comparing the past with the present. We pretended we were convicts writing a letter back home. To make it look like it was from the 'olden days', we did some scrunching, tearing and painting with tea. Here is what we created.

Mathematics

In Maths, we each had to roll and write a number on a post-it note. After practising one more, one less, 10 more and 10 less, we added our number to a class number line. This was tricky because we added them each individually. After some checking and rearranging, our number line was in order from 0- a number in the billions.

Swimming

We had a great time swimming over three days at Eaglehawk pool. The slide was the most fun 😀
