Hello, from Carolyn.

Hello everyone!

Election day thank you!

Thank you all for your support last Saturday. The trestle tables were full of deliciousness, thank you to everyone who dropped off goodies. It was a pleasure talking with current and past families and others who had come to our polling place because they knew we had a BBQ and stall. Thank you Kristian, Kim, Brooke, Di, Sam, Danni, Lenka, James T, Sara and James Mc for helping to- set up, run the BBQ/cake stall and pack up, it was a pleasure spending the morning with you all. We made $713!! Those funds will go towards our Yarning circle/fire pit area we hope to build next year.

Staffing update.

Congratulations to Hannah Douglas who has accepted a position at Wedderburn College. We are very sad to say 'Goodbye' to Hannah however she will be much closer to home so not as much driving, which is a very good thing!

We will be welcoming Laura Trembath to our school to replace Hannah. Laura is excited to be joining the Violet St team. Laura will be here for the next two Tuesday transition visits so she can meet her 2023 students.

Headlice alert!

We have had a few families from our junior classes reporting they have treated their child/ren for nits. Please make sure you check your child's hair regularly and treat their hair if live lice or eggs are found. Once a child's hair has been treated, they can return to school. Any child whose hair is long enough to be tied back, must have it tied back for school days.  If you are scratching your head (Pun intended!) about how to manage head lice, check out the Better Health site for ideas.

School banking details.

A reminder that 2023 Parent Payment documents have been sent home. If you haven't received yours yet, check your child's school bag before you call us. It seems like some of the information didn't make it into everyone's packs so if you are wondering how you can pay via direct deposit, here are our baking details-

Scooter donations please!

We have had one scooter donation and definitely need some more! If you have a scooter at home that is no longer being used, we would love if if you chose to donate it to our Bike Ed program. Scooters must be in excellent condition. If we get plenty of scooters donated, it means we have more funds to spend on safety equipment such as helmets.
