Performing Arts

This semester in Performing Arts students have been discovering dances from all around the world. We have explored where people dance and investigated their culture. We delved deeper and looked at why they dance and even how. Everyone had a chance to join in and try some different styles of dance and discussed what we liked … and what we didn’t. Overall, students loved learning about different dances and the cultures they come from.

Some of the dance styles we learned included;

• Ballet from France
• Highland Dancing from Scotland
• Aboriginal Australian Dancing
• The Mexican Hat Dance
• The Tarantella from Italy

It’s been a very fun semester and we can’t wait to show you all the hard work we have done at the Specialists’ celebration on Friday 2nd of December at 9am-10am. We hope to see you there!
