Arts News

We’re looking forward to 2023 in the Arts with lots of exciting exhibitions and camps planned for this year.

Congratulations to Isabella De Giambattista (2022, Mokare) who won second prize in The Lorraine Harrison 3D Youth Award for her porcelain ceramic piece ‘Reflections’.

This was exhibited at the Albany Town Hall in January. We really appreciate Albany’s contemporary 3D art group, Viewpoint for providing this opportunity.

Judge, Annette Davis commented

We were impressed by the high level technical skills and mastery of the media in this work.  We were intrigued by the possible interpretations of the work, it is one that we looked at and considered at length.  We commend the artist for their technical excellence and the strong aesthetic quality of the work.’
