Boarding

Formal Dinner – Term 4

Trip to Melbourne

Last weekend there was plenty of Christmas shopping being had in Melbourne Central. A small group of excited boarders made a trip to Melbourne on a sunny Sunday. Not only did boarders get up to some important shopping for friends, they also went out for Sushi train, explored the Eureka Skydeck, and met up with family. It certainly was a long day but it was truly worth it.

BBQ on the lawns

With a break in this cold, wet, and miserable weather, our Boarding House took the brief opportunity to enjoy some sunny conditions. Our traditional Myrniong Lawn BBQ dinners have always been a huge success, and last week we were opened up the lawns and had everybody together outside. We had the music going and boarders simply enjoyed chatting and relaxing together. We’re all looking forward to the next BBQ soon (fingers crossed for more great weather soon).

Christmas dinner

As the term concludes, we celebrated Christmas as a boarding family. The night was extra special as Josh and his kitchen team created a delicious meal. With our Acting Principal and Head of Senior Years as invited guests, we all enjoyed reflecting upon the year and discussing our summer break plans. The stealing Santa game at the conclusion of the evening is always a fun way to finish off the night, and this year was again a great way to enjoy each other’s company, welcome new boarders to our home, and conclude the year with happiness and joy.

Save the date:

  • Tuesday 31 January - Boarding Welcome Afternoon Tea on Myrniong lawns at 3pm.
  • Wednesday 1 February - Term One begins.
  • Sunday 5 February – Port Fairy Beach Day for all boarders.
