Kingston Cross Country

On Wednesday 19th May, 25 Westall students were transported to the Kingston Cross Country Carnival. We were extremely lucky as the weather held out to provide our runners with perfect running weather for the day. Congratulations to Bron of year 12 who achieved a great result of 19th and Johnny Li of year 11 who finished in 23rd. Special mention also goes out to all of our runners as you should all be proud of yourselves to finish the course against tough competition from the other 7 schools.

Senior Round Robin day

Term 2 also saw the second of our Senior Round Robin days where students competed in badminton, soccer or netball. Congratulations to all students involved as from all reports, Westall students competed strongly, representing Westall with pride.

Congratulations to our senior boys' badminton team who came away as division champions and have progressed to the regional final early next term. Special mention to our senior girl’s badminton team who were pipped at the post to finish second.

Weekly sport

In term 2 students have begun weekly competitions in soccer, netball, and badminton. Unfortunately, due to recent restrictions, the competition was placed on hold for several weeks as the Kingston Division now works with its schools to arrange alternative options to catch up on these games. However, our year 7 boys’ team is now in a great position currently being undefeated.

Term 3 will see three new sports being offered as we begin to train for year 7 and 8s last competitive term of the year. Term 3 sports are basketball, futsal and table tennis.
