The Year 10s appreciate Aliey's work

Artist and parent inspires our students

Prominent artist and school parent, Aliey Ball recently presented her artwork to our Year 10 Art students. Her work gives artistic expression to local ecologies, a theme that connected beautifully with the artwork that we are exploring in class.

The work that Aliey presented was ‘ Bilk Bui Bui (Everlasting Country)’ created with water colour and pencil and measuring over 6m metres long. It was displayed in the purpose built collaborative space in C Block (the new facility for the Creative Arts).

Students were fascinated by Aliey’s work and her presentation was hugely inspiring.

This was another great example of the wealth of talent, knowledge and skill that we have amongst our broader school community.
