This term in the Art room our junior students have been busy building and making artworks with lots of different materials.

Foundation students have been exploring the art area of collage. Where they are currently having fun by making imaginary or real sea creatures, which are looking fantastic. They always bring an abundance of enthusiasm and creativity to art.

Level 2 students are exploring the area of Construction by building animals out of boxes. They have been busy painting their boxes. Now that they are adding different materials to their creations, they are really taking shape. Well done, everyone!

While the Level 3s are also developing their construction skills by making cylinders out of congregated cardboard and then creating something out of the cylinders. Most students are working collaboratively, and it is awesome to see how well they are bouncing ideas off each other and developing their ideas as a team.

Before camp, the Level 6s created beautiful jewellery for their gorgeous mothers to give them on Mother’s Day. They are now in the planning stages of their next artwork, which takes inspiration from Artur Bordalo II, a street artist from Lisbon. They are creating collage relief sculptures of endangered animals out of recycled materials.
