Levels 5 & 6

Level 5 Update
Level 5 has been busy prepping for the NAPLAN tests. We have spent some time focusing on our writing skills, reading skills and maths skills so we were fully prepared to try our best on these tests. Our teachers have also been giving us some relaxation time in class so we can rest our minds and have some fun. Some of us have been doing some drawing, reading fun books, playing games on the oval and exploring the new STEM games.
Level 6 Update
Canberra was a fun experience for everyone. We went to Questacon, a place filled with eye-tricks and The National Library, a humongous library with a copy of every book published in Australia. Then Parliament House, the place where everything happens. The Mint, where all of our coins come from, the CSIRO, a discovery centre that has answers to Australia’s history and more. Finally, the War Memorial that has names of every single person that has fought in war. We learnt a lot, like, in Parliament house, there is a big pile of books in the middle of the table. These books contain every single word that has been said in the Parliament House. The Mint has coins used from all around Australia. The Mint only makes the coins and the CSIRO created the paper that is used for the notes. Overall, we all had an amazing time spending a week with our friends and learning heaps about Australian parliament.

Canberra was a great camp and was full of adventure. We did lots of things including, Questacon, Mint, Parliament House and Mount Ainslie lookout. Parliament was definitely my favourite part of the trip. Learning about the House of Reps and the Senate was amazing. I also got the best cabin mates. Making memories was definitely the best part of the camp, and if you have the chance to go… go.
