Dear SMPS Community,

As the mid-year school holidays approach, we may start to think about relaxing over the two week break. After all, that's what school holidays are for. Enjoy them! However, the SMPS FAF have some homework for you: Toys and Stories.

Bonus: There are 3 house points as a reward for each task you complete! I wonder which house will win the most points?

🔴🔵🟢🟡 Toys homework

If you have a toy at home you no longer need, we would appreciate you donating it to the SMPS 'Tub-of-Toys'.

The Tub-of-Toys will be a collection of toys the students can share and play with during their recess breaks. Items such as toy cars, dolls, or games.

(If your generous donation is considered unsafe or inappropriate for the SMPS 'Tub of Toys', we will donate the items to a local opportunity shop.)

Homework bonus: Any students who donate a toy at the school gates between 8.45am - 9am, Tuesday 13 July - Friday 16 July, (or to the office any time before 3.45pm Friday 16 July), will receive 3 house points!

We are incredibly lucky to have such a diverse range of cultures at SMPS!

We would like to learn more about our community by sharing some of the ways we celebrate. Please email your happy stories and/or photos to smps.faf@outlook.com and we will share them in our newsletter.

🐶 Pets: Do you have a pet you'd like to share a photo of?

🎉 Cultural celebrations: Do you wear costumes or bake delicious foods to celebrate a special cultural or religious event?

Homework bonus: Every story that is received by 5pm Friday 16 July 2021 will receive 3 house points as a reward!

Please include your name, class and house in your email.

SHUS (Second Hand Uniform Shop)

The SHUS will be open for one more day in Term 2. 

Wednesday 23 June 3.30pm-4.00pm

Where: Outside the school building, in front of the STEAM room   

Payment: Cashor Card.Change will be limited, so if you are paying cash, please bring small notes and coins. 

Prices: Range from $5-$15

Thank youto everyone who has donated SMPS uniform they no longer need. Our SMPS families greatly appreciate your generous donations. 

We recently received a few size 10 items, but they sold in record time! It's worthwhile popping in to say hi when we're open to see if we have the size you need.

Do you have some uniform, including black polishable shoes, to donate? If you do, please hand it in to either the SHUS when it's open, or to the lovely Emma in the office.

Bunnings fundraiser BBQ

SMPS will be hosting a Bunnings fundraiser BBQ, at their Port Melbourne store, in Term 3.

Saturday 21st August 2021. 

We'll need some volunteers to host the BBQ, so please keep an eye out for more details in Term 3's newsletters.

All money raised will go towards the makeover of the garden on Level 1.
