Advisory Council
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following parents who have kindly offered to join the St Augustine’s College Advisory Council. The Advisory Council is the leading consultative and advisory group for the College, as an active forum for parent and community participation, providing support and advice principally in strategic planning and school improvement.

I am delighted to announce that Diana Shazia has been appointed as the Advisory Council Chair. I thank Diana for her willingness to undertake this important role at the College. Diana has a daughter in Year 2.
NAPLAN
NAPLAN has now been completed at St Augustine’s College for 2023. NAPLAN Tests were administered to all students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 in Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy.
From 2023, NAPLAN level of achievements will be: Exceeding, Strong, Developing and Needs Additional Support.
Playgroup
I am very pleased to announce that our Playgroup initiative has been very successful this term. I am grateful for our Early Childhood Teacher, Mrs Holly Swetman, for her leadership in this space. Each week, new and exciting activities are planned to engage children in arts and crafts, music, reading, outdoor play (weather permitting) and sensory and messy play, all designed to promote teamwork, cooperation and problem-solving skills. Important Dates
Final day: Term 1
The last day of of Term 1 is Thursday 6th April. Students will be dismissed from school at 2:00 pm. This is to align our College with Kyabram P-12 College and to allow students the convenience to catch school buses.
Students Return: Term 2
Students first day of school for Term 2 is on Wednesday 26th April. Please note that Anzac Day, Tuesday 25th April, is a public holiday.
F-12 Subject Teacher Conversations: Term 2
Due to St Augustine’s College undertaking a National School Improvement Review from 16-19th May, the F-12 Subject Teacher Conversations will now take place on Thursday 11th May. Further communication will be provided to parents regarding the Subject Teacher Conversations prior to the end of Term 1.
