In the Kitchen and Garden

Last week in the garden we harvested some small tomatoes, beans, basil and mint. The students made plant tepees for our peas and beans to support them. The tomatoes and beans went into our Tomato and Bean Salad that the students cooked in the kitchen this week. It was delicious (the staff thought so too!). The students also cooked Zucchini Bread and we used our jam from our last cooking session to make Jam Drop Biscuits (the students thought these were delicious!).

 

The students are very good at taking responsibility for the dishes and the presentation so congratulations to 5/6A on their excellent kitchen skills.

 

Next term 5/6S will be in the garden and kitchen. If you have any time available to help out in the program, then you are very welcome to come in. Please email Leah Maarse-Davison through the school email address if you're available.
