Closer to you

Every night I lie in bed in hope to find my family again. In my dreams I’ve been with you more than a million times. The day we lost each other was full of rain and tears, the storm above our heads was getting bigger and bigger and the flood, it rained and tore us apart.

Most days are lonely.

Most days are sad.

But when the sun shines I know I’m one step closer to finding you.

Another year goes by and still I may not return

This country is a disgrace.

My family is gone, what do I do

Travelling for me is like being a stamp

Depressed as I was I knew I had to keep going

My eyes fill up with water, before its about to pore out

Nigeria awaits me

My country is gone

No home no family no one around

My brain is racing like an F1 car on the track

This could be the last look of my life
