Celebrating our relationship with Ernabella Anangu School on the APY Lands

Our College has a continuing 30-year-long relationship with Ernabella Anangu School on the APY Lands. This relationship is a result of our Senior School teacher Mr Neil Blenkinsop, having taught in Ernabella in the 1980s. This included annual exchange trips between the two schools (now the Year 11 Lands Trip).

Nami Kulyuru was one of the Pitjantjatjara teachers who worked each year with our students in Ernabella. In recent years, Nami lived in Adelaide and worked with Emmaus students in workshops and on the commemorative mosaic between the South Plympton campus flags.

Last year, Emmaus commissioned Nami to create a painting celebrating the long relationship of our two communities, which is now displayed at our Brooklyn Park campus. This video is a celebration of Nami, her painting, and the long relationship between our two communities.
