Division Swimming

Congratulations to a huge team of division swimmers who represented our school in competitive and enthusiastic spirit in Wodonga on Thursday last week. Many students have qualified for regionals which is on Friday March 17th.

Athletics Victoria Track and Field Championships.

Congratulations to Year 7 student Eddy Franzke who competed in the Athletics Victoria Track and Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium in Melbourne last weekend. Impressively he came 3rd in the U15, 3000m (running up an age group). Eddy managed to beat the Victorian Country U13 all-time record which was held by his brother. Eddy ran 9:24.67. Eddy has run 3 qualifying times in the 800m, 1500m and 3000m and will be heading to Brisbane in April to compete in the National Championships.

Conquestathon 2023

On Saturday morning a group keen walkers and runners tackled the approx. 20km journey up and down Mt Bogong. There were over 200 entrants. Year 9 student Alec Franzke managed to get to the top the faster and was 3rd fastest to the finish.

Congratulations to MBSC students – Alec Franzke (3rd – 2:07), Eddy Franzke (12th – 2:39), Baylin Ford (18th – 2:52), Darcy Fallon (4:18).

Vic Enduro Tour

Congratulations to students Isaac Richardson and Lachlan Angelini who competed in the U/17s and to Callum Bowring and Ben Lutter-Wood in the U/19s.  

Our Staff also competed in the event, with Josh Davies and Vicky Levesque both on the podium in 2nd place in their respective age groups.  Well done!
