All That Jazz

The Mazenod College Jazz Band is excited to announce that it will be participatingin the 2023 Generations in Jazz (GIJ) Festival in Mt Gambier, South Australia between Friday 5 May and Sunday 7 May 2023.

To help subsidise their travel and accommodation costs, the Jazz Band,together with its merry band of supporters will be hosting a number of fundraising activities over the next few weeks…

Kalamunda Show – Friday 31 March and Saturday 1 April 2023

The Jazz Band and supporters will be donning their aprons and hosting the much-loved Hamburger Stall at this year’s Kalamunda Show.A dedicated containers for change collection point will also be set up at the stall.You will also spy some of the Jazz Band members and supporters at the Mazenod College Sustainability Stall, where you can deposit your containers for change and pick up some organic Worm Wizz for the garden too!

 

Mazenod College Open Day – Wednesday 5 April 2023

Fresh from their success at the Kalamunda Show and armed with new culinary skills, the Jazz Band and supporters will be hosting a Sausage Sizzle Stall and Cake Stall at the upcoming Open Day! A dedicated containers for change collection point will also be set up at the stalls. Swing past for hot dog or a cupcake (or both) and don’t forget to drop off your containers for change…

 

Sustainability - Get into the Swing of Things!

Why not help Mazenod College meet its sustainability and social responsibility goals and help the Jazz Band fundraise at the same time?You will notice a number of dedicated containers for change collection bags/bins on campus. Please deliver your containers for change to the College – they will be collected from the senior block on Mondays (between 7.40am and 8.30am) or deposit them directly at your local Refund Point – please enter the Mazenod College Member Number: C10293703.

Mazenod College Jazz Band Live on Stage | Pre-GIJ Performance

On Sunday 30 April 2023 the Jazz Band along with some of Mazenod’s other musical groups and soloists will be performing a concert, live on stage at the College, before they head to Mt Gambier.To avoid disappointment, please save the date and keep an eye outfor details regarding how to book your tickets.

Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival

The Performing Arts Festival is held over seven weeks in Term 3 with students performing solos and in ensembles and bands in various venues around Perth. Students who would like to perform should speak to their tutor or come to the PAC office. Entries will need to be in by the end of the term.
