From the Acting Principal

This is the final newsletter for Term 1, and my final message as Acting Principal.

It is with mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Mr. Graham Lewis at the end of this semester. Graham is an Old Collegian and has taught Year 6 at the Junior School and Science and Agricultural Science at the Senior School. Also, he recently took on the role of Head of Shooting, bringing his passion and expertise to this important co-curricular activity.

Graham has been an integral part of our school community for many years.  He has been a dedicated teacher, mentor, and colleague, and has supported many students to pursue their interests in Agriculture.

We will miss Graham greatly, especially his witty sense of humour! We wish him all the best in his retirement. He has certainly earned a well-deserved break, and we hope he will enjoy spending more time back on the farm and pursuing his other interests.  We will formally farewell Graham at the end of Term 2.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all families for your ongoing support and cooperation throughout my tenure as Acting Principal. It has been an honour to serve this wonderful school community.

As I step back into my role as Deputy Principal Wellbeing, I am excited to be working with our new Principal, Mr Michael Horne. I know Michael will bring fresh ideas, vision, and energy to the school.

I thank you in advance for your continued support and cooperation during this transition period. The school has much to look forward to, and I am excited about the many opportunities that lie ahead.

As we prepare for the upcoming term, I encourage all parents and students to stay engaged and actively participate in school activities. Together, we can continue to build a school community that nurtures academic excellence and wellbeing.

If you are available on ANZAC Day, we would appreciate students joining the College community to march in the Hamilton service.  Students are asked to wear their formal winter uniform and meet at the Gray Street Primary School at 10.30am.

Thank you again for your support and wishing you all a restful and enjoyable Easter break.
