ANNUAL BEAUFORT AGRICULTURAL SHOW

The previously postponed Beaufort Agricultural Show, will be held on Sunday 19th March at the Goldfields Recreation Reserve, Beaufort. Children and youth, up to the age of 17, will receive free admittance to this year's show, thanks to a grant from the Victorian State  Government.

There will be loads of interesting things to see and do at this year's show, including an animal nursery, mini-golf, the Snake Pit display and chat, a circus performer (hosting workshops for children) and Professor Parkers Fruit Fly Circus. There will also be horse events in the arena, woodchopping, sheep-dog yard trials and shearing, along with the poultry and cattle sheds.

There will be showbags and rides and of course, the Treasure Hunt Trail Show bag, which is great value. Available from the secretary’s office, participants can collect up to 15 items from around the showgrounds. There will be also lots of trade stalls to check out.

Competitions will include the pet show, which will be held at lunchtime, the free spinning wheel and the junior show girl and boy. Dog show-jumping and races will be held mid-afternoon, followed by the family fun events in the main arena, from around 3:15pm.

Other competitions sections you can pre-enter, include photography, artwork, cookery, craft, floral art and flowers. You can also enter your pet chook or the fleece from your pet sheep.

The food court has been revamped with Chepstowe Winery on-site along with Food Trucks, bands and a children’s play tent. This fantastic community event is a great  opportunity to catch up with friends and a wonderful day out for the whole family. Please head to our website, beaufortshow.org.au, for further information.
