PLT News...

The Year 4s have been off to an incredible start this year! The students have settled in nicely and have spent some time getting to know their peers and teachers.

So far, we have been very busy getting our reading program up and running. Our students have enjoyed reading from our classroom libraries during our sustained reading sessions. We look forward to seeing them fill in their reading diaries each night! Our reading nights program will commence on Monday, with take home readers being sent home daily. 

Students have also enjoyed sharing with their peers what they have done on the holidays. They have started to add entries to their Writer’s Notebooks, which has given them inspiration for their recount writing. We can’t wait to see what else our students will bring in to paste into their journals!

In Maths, students have explored place value. They have created and ordered a range of numbers, as well as completing several hands-on activities.

We look forward to a terrific year together!
