Year 12 Valedictory Dinner

What a special and unique night this year’s Valedictory Dinner was.  On Monday December 14, the Year 12 students, teachers and the Principal team gathered in the School Hall to celebrate the end of formal education for these students. 

Just three weeks earlier we were unsure if this event would even be possible given the COVID 19 restrictions. But celebrate we did, and in fine style too, with a scrumptious sit down meal, music and laughter whilst also acknowledging and rewarding the supreme efforts of so many of our students who achieved highly despite the obstacles that came their way in this most challenging year. 

Whilst we celebrated in the Hall, families watched on remotely, cheering on from the sidelines. 

What a year this has been, so many events cancelled, rescheduled or, as with the Valedictory, completely revamped but without losing any of the gravitas along the way.

We would also like to congratulate the Valedictorians for 2020,  Derek Villlaceran, Lily Black and Caitlin Huddleston. These students were highly  recommended by their teachers and demonstrated an impressive level of dedication to the Lilydale High School community, both inside and outside of the classroom, throughout their years at school and in particular this year.

Well done Derek, Lily and Caitlin and all of our 2020 graduates!

Congratulations and Happy Holidays

The Senior School team extends our congratulations to all students on what has been a very challenging but ultimately rewarding year in VCE.  We are very proud of all our students who have shown great resilience and adaptability throughout this year.

To our Year 12 students, congratulations on completing your schooling at Lilydale High School, we wish you the best of luck for your future endeavours. Please drop in and see us sometime; we’d love to hear what you’re all up to post-secondary school.

To our Year 11 students, well done on your first year in VCE, we look forward to seeing you back next year, as you move into Year 12. We hope you find some time to relax and recharge in readiness for your final year in high school.

Finally, we would like to wish students and families a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year.
