PREMIERS' READING CHALLENGE

CELEBRATION LUNCHEON
A select group of students celebrated their successful completion of the Premiers’ Reading Challenge in 2020 with the Principal team, Ms Wade and Mitch our Library volunteer this week.
This annual event is always a fantastic celebration of our students’ commitment to reading and this year was no exception.
After the ceremony, delicious treats including some very fancy cupcakes and an opportunity to be the first borrowers of an impressive selection of new books for the occasion!
Congratulations to all our students, but particularly our top readers of each year level: Sienna Kerford of 7I read 43 books, Charli Garrett in 8A read 37 books and Alesia Jensen in 10L read 39 books.
Our top reader for the school was Erin Allison in 9A who read a staggering 127 books during the duration of the challenge!
Thank you to all the students who participated in the challenge, English teachers who supported our students and guided their choices and Ms O’Kennedy who had the Sisyphean task of managing the reading challenge website and sorting out a myriad of technical difficulties as students read and logged their books from home.
We look forward to reading with you next year in our BookLovers club!
