Our Learning - Clarity

St Brigid's School Learning

Parents are our children's first teachers. They are hugely influential players in the learning for, with and beside every child.  The influence you have as the first educator is pivotal in your child's education. We know that families who engage in their children's learning usually have a big effect on their child's learning outcomes. This does not mean you have to be at the school every day or involved in every aspect of your child's schooling, rather actively engage in what they have learnt, how you can support them and how they can get the support they need.

Recently we provided you with some very important questions to ask your child when they get in the car, or when you are sitting together having a conversation about their day.

Have you tried asking the 5 questions?

Here they are again...

  1. What did you learn today?
  2. How did you do?
  3. What did you do if you didn't understand?
  4. How can you improve on your learning?
  5. What are you most proud of? (This is my favourite question to ask!) I also add... How did this make you feel?? - A Mrs Correll question that I always ask the students.

Have a wonderful holiday and see you all on Tuesday 25th of July,
