Dear Collingwood College Community,
I am pleased to inform you that we have successfully reached the halfway point of the Term! We have lots of exciting events coming up as well as embarking on building works for the Kinder and our side garden area. This enhancement will contribute to creating an even more enriching environment for our students.
For those of you who have children joining us for Prep, we kindly urge you to submit an enrolment form. As we are currently finalising class arrangements, your prompt action will greatly assist us in ensuring a smooth transition. Our eagerly anticipated Prep transition program is scheduled for Term 4, during which we warmly welcome our new community members.
I am delighted to introduce Pairoj Prommer as our new Class One teacher, succeeding Malory Huther. Malory has decided to take a period of family time to embrace the joys of parenthood as she prepares to welcome a new addition to her family. While we will miss Malory dearly, we eagerly anticipate meeting the newest member of her family.
I am also pleased to share that Jane Gray will be rejoining us next week after a period of leave to spend time with her family. The grade 1/2 Main program students (and Simon) are eagerly looking forward to Jane's return.

- Week 7 (21/8 to 25/8): Book Week
- Wednesday 23/8: Book Parade (Please refer to the attached poster)
This year, we are organizing a "Great Book Swap" and would greatly appreciate any donated books. For further information, kindly approach Alina in the library.
- Thursday 24/8: Kinder Parent Information Gathering
As you may be aware, a new Kinder garden will be opening at Collingwood College next year, under the administration of the City of Yarra. In collaboration with the City of Yarra, we are hosting a Kinder information session for families interested in this program. The session will take place in the Main program Prep room from 9.30 am to 11.00 am. Additional details are available in the attached flyer. Please note that bookings are essential.
- Week 8 (Friday 1/9): Swing into Spring
Join us for a delightful Friday afternoon from 3.15 pm to 6.00 pm, as we showcase the vibrancy of our wonderful community. The event promises performances, delectable food, and an array of engaging activities. We are actively seeking more parent volunteers to support various aspects of the event. Should you be available to assist with stall management or set up/pack down, please do not hesitate to contact us.
- Week 9: 3-Way Conferences (Parent-Teacher Interviews)
This is a friendly reminder that on Tuesday, September 5th, a student-free day has been designated for 3-way conferences. Booking details will be accessible on Compass one week before the event.
