3/4 Art

The “Little Art Treasure Hunt” exhibition was inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy, who works in and with nature to make his outdoor installations. As the students explored some of the techniques using sticks, leaves and stones it became apparent that the small artworks would suit an exhibition of their own. After exploring this idea further the students decided that the most suitable audience for this exhibition would be the younger students from grades Prep to 2. With their audience in mind the students embarked upon the long process of designing and creating their little artworks over several weeks using everything from wire, clay, cardboard and their unlimited creative ingenuity to produce the many and varied artworks for this exhibition.
