Year 7

Assistant Principal's Report

Who could believe we are into week 4 of term already?

There are some fantastic opportunities coming up for year 7’s to showcase their talents. There are year 7 students involved in the musical ‘Legally Blonde’ which is running this week, as well as the upcoming ‘Night at the Museum’ and Science Fair coming up on the 17th of August. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their work, and to share this with parents/carers and members of the wider school community.

As the weather is now quite cool, students should be ensuring they are wearing the winter uniform and keeping warm. For students who need assistance with the correct uniform, please ask your child to speak to their tutor teacher or a member of student services.

I look forward to continuing to work with your children this year to enhance their educational opportunities and help them become the best they can be.

My name is Victoria Webster and I am excited to be the new Year Level Leader of Year 7.

I hope this newsletter finds you all rejuvenated and eager to embark on an exciting new term in Year 7. As we gather for this new term, I would like to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to our new tutor teachers – Mr Cameron Mellor (7H) and Ms Brita Baranieski (7K) who have fitted in nicely to the Year 7 team.

To our returning Year 7's, welcome back! As we progress together through Year 7, I encourage you to set new goals, welcome fresh challenges, and work towards reaching your full potential.

For our new students joining us this term, a special welcome to you! I am delighted to have you become a part of the Year 7 family. Starting at a new school might be both thrilling and nerve-wracking, but rest assured, you're in the right place. Our friendly and supportive community is here to help you settle in, make friends, and embark on an enriching educational adventure.

As we begin Term 3, let's remember the incredible opportunities that lie ahead – Starting new electives, participating in Breaktime clubs, Legally Blonde the Musical, Writing Week with AJ Betts, Science Week, Night at the Museum and Book Week. This term is a blank canvas, ready for you to fill with creativity, knowledge, and growth. There is something for everybody!
