Teaching & Learning

As we near the end of the school year it is important to reflect on the 2021 school year. Staff, students and families demonstrated immense resilience, courage and determination in a year of transitions between face-to-face learning and remote and flexible learning. Together our GSSC community spent fourteen days in quarantine and supported each other with our health and wellbeing and teaching and learning programs. Together we were able to successfully modify our Remote Teaching and Learning program based on the feedback from our families and students. We are very grateful for this support and will continue to provide opportunities to give feedback into the future.

2021 has been the first year that our brand new and innovative 7-10 curriculum has been delivered and it has been really exciting for staff and students to engage in curriculum that has been designed, based on the 21st Century skills that our students will need now and in the future. We are looking forward to 2022 and being able to delivery our innovative and authentic curriculum in our modern state-of-the-art learning spaces.

We are eager to offer many opportunities for all of our families to visit our new school in Term 1 of 2022 and take a look at our wonderful new teaching spaces and facilities. Opportunities for family site visits and events include the following:
