Change of Preference

To receive a course offer via VTAC, you will be offered the course highest on your preference list you are eligible for (you have met the ATAR and selection criteria requirements). Therefore the period of time between receiving results is an important one as it's the last chance to modify/add/remove preferences before offers are released in January (14th January 2022). It is also the last chance you have to make sure your preference list reflects what you would like to study in the future. After receiving your results and checking these against pre-requisites for courses in your preferences you have until midday Monday 20th December 2021 to make changes. We’ve prepared a Change of Preference handbook with explanations/hints and links that is available at this link https://www.gssccareers.com/newsletter/file/26998

Change of Preference support at GSSC

Results for VCE and the ATAR are being released online from 7am on Thursday 16th Dec. Students are encouraged to access these as soon as possible, as for those intending on applying for university offers, time is of the essence. Change of Preference closes on VTAC on Monday 20th Dec (4pm).

Our college will be holding COP support sessions for all Yr 12 students GSSC Wanganui campus (in the Senior Learning Centre) and McGuire campus (in the Senior Centre) from 10am to 4pm. The Career Practitioners and Neighbourhood leaders will be on hand during this time to help explain to students the results they've achieved, discuss current course preferences and explore further options. It will be critical that students use this opportunity so that they can be assured of making the best decisions possible.

Further, all of the Universities themselves offer COIP support both online and in person at their campuses. To find out individual institution arrangements go to their website.
