Clothing the Gaps Fundraiser

Written by Ollie & Shaun

Clothing the Gaps is a foundation that improves the health and wellbeing of First Nations people through fun runs and connection to country activities. It’s also a magnificent clothing company and all purchases go towards these goals. And just to add, their apparel options are pretty cool.

On Wednesday the 8th of December we had a fundraiser to support this foundation hosted by the student Community Leadership Team. Students wore the colours of either the Indigenous flag (red, black and yellow) or the Torres Strait Islander flag (green, blue and white). Students were also encouraged to wear any Clothing the Gaps products as well.

Everyone gave a gold coin donation and had a wonderful time playing a variety of Yulunga Traditional Indigenous Games such as Birray, Dabi, Gitga, Apwerte and Emu. Yulunga means playing in the language of the Kamilaroi (Gamori) people of northern-western New South Wales
