Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership & Teamwork Awards

In this video David Sabben, a Vietnam Veteran and Commander of 12 Platoon Delta Company during the Battle of Long Tan discusses the values and qualities by the Australians during that battle, and how the Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Awards play an important role in honouring that sacrifice.
Leadership and teamwork is underpinned by the qualities of supporting others and doing the best you can. These are values that the Australian Defence Force shares with the broader community.
The Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Awards have been created to acknowledge the achievements of young people who have demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership and teamwork either within our school or in the wider community.
The 2021 Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Year 10 Award has been won by:- Dash Adams
Our first recipient of a Long Tan Award is a student who demonstrates a high level of respect for themselves and their community, where they are considered to be a leader amongst their peers. They are a conscientious and diligent worker who communicate effectively and works cooperatively with others, both at school and within the local community. They are resourceful and encourage others to participate, in order to enhance their learning journey.
The 2021 Australian Defence Force Long Tan Leadership and Teamwork Year 12 Award has been won by: - Imogen Hollis
Imogen has demonstrated leadership both within and outside of the school community and cooperates well with others. Imogen has the ability to enhance group work through her encouragement of others to get involved. She has shown resourcefulness and a passion to gain the most from their education and in life. Imogen has exhibited capability in all of the values that underpin the Long Tan Award and is a very worthy recipient.
