Dear Parents and Families,
Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. Here’s what you can do to help children develop stronger reading skills and a love for reading:
- Set the example. Let children see you read.
- Have a collection of books in your home. Update this collection routinely to keep up
with changing tastes and reading skills.
- Support our school’s Book Fair. Allow your children to choose their own books to read.
Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level.
Please be aware that Book Fair will run a little differently this year to previous years. We ask that parents only come to school if they feel they would like to view the books before they are purchased. They will be asked to sign in at the office and there will be a sanitising station to be used when entering the library.
Children will get a chance to view the books during their library lesson, they will fill out a wish list which they will bring home, parents and children can then discuss which books may be purchased.
Purchasing books will consist of online payments at home and cash purchases by the children at school. Parents will be able to pay using EFTPOS at the front desk. More info on that next week.
Book Fair dates: Monday 17 to Wednesday 26 of May
We look forward to seeing your child at our Book Fair! Remember, all purchases benefit our school.
MOTHER’S DAY STALL
This year the Mother’s day Stall will be held on Thursday 6 & Friday 7 May

‘Gift Box’ in their classroom. There are plenty of extra gifts available if required.

LOTS OF EGGS FOR SALE
We have some new chooks at Sacred Heart and they have been busy laying lots of fresh eggs. One dozen eggs - $3.50.
Please call at the Front office.
UNIFORM SHOP
Due to government restrictions our Uniform shop can only operate on an appointment basis. You can call our office at anytime to schedule an appointment on a Friday during Uniform shop hours. If you are unable to attend on Uniform day, Richelle will still be available to take your orders by phoning on a Friday during our uniform shop hours which are 10am - 12noon. From there you will place your order and payment will be made at that time. All orders will be packed and sent home each Friday with your child.
Alternatively, you can download the order form from our website or your PAM account via ‘knowledge bank’. Complete the form and send it with the correct money with your child or phone for payment on Friday.
If sizing is an issue, you are able to send clothing back (still with tags) and it will be swapped over for you...children are unable to be called up to office
to be sized for clothing anymore. We thank you for your cooperation.
