Ready, Set, Go!

After many weeks of organising, designing, drawing and voting, we finally have a winning race track design for our toy car outdoor race track.

 

Congratulations to Leah H. and Kate C, in Year 3/4 for their design, which was voted the winner from 13 entries in the competition.  It was a very close competition, with Kate and Leah's design receiving 45 votes, narrowly winning over the next entry, which received 42 votes.

 

The race track is going to be built in the newly-cleared raised garden bed near the Vegetable Garden, with construction due to take place on the last day of Term 1.  The completed track is going to be named after Kate and Leah and will be able to be used by all students.

Thank you to all the students who submitted an entry in the competition. Everyone did a terrific job. Thank you to Mrs Rheumer for getting all the materials required to build the track. We can't wait to see the finished track!
