Inter-School Football/Netball Program

Details for tomorrow’s games: Friday 7th April 

* FOOTBALLERS:  MUST bring a mouthguard – no mouthguard, no play

*GAMES PLAYED: approx. 12.50pm – 2.30pm.

HOME GAMES:  St Finbar’s 1  vs St Mary’s Malvern East (netball only, skills session for our football team):

Football:   skills session @ Hurlingham Oval #2, Nepean Hwy, Brighton East. (Mrs D’Rozario)

     *please accept the ‘walk to Hurly’ Operoo sent out earlier this week.

Netball:  St. Finbar’s school courts.  (Ms Di Pietro)

AWAY GAMES:  St. Joseph’s Malvern  vs  St. Finbar’s 2: 

Football: Darling Park/Basil oval, Basil St. Malvern East.  (Miss Gourley & Mrs Thompson)   

Netball: St. Joseph’s PS school court, 49 Stanhope St, Malvern.  (Miss Kay)

REQUEST> PARENT UMPIRES:  if any parent is able to assist with umpiring their child’s team, we’d really appreciate your support.  Please email your child’s classroom teacher with the date/s you are available.  MANY THANKS!

UPCOMING EVENTS: 

Year 5 & 6 LIGHTNING PREMIERSHIP TOURNAMENTS

Trials for our Year 5&6 Lightning Premiership tournament of Soccer, Netball and AFL Football will take place over the next few weeks.  Students wishing to represent the school in one or more of these tournaments will either participate in trials at lunchtimes or be observed during skills sessions and our intra-school games that are to be held next week for Winter Sport Round 4.

Lightning Premiership tournament dates:

LP Soccer (1 boys/mixed team of 12):  Wedn 2nd June @ Caulfield Park, Caulfield North.

LP Netball (1 A Grade Girls team of 9, 1 A Grade- Mixed team of 9, 1 B Grade Mixed team of 9): Wedn. 10th June @ Darling Park, Basil Street, Malvern East.

LP Football (1 Mixed team of 23 players): Thurs 11th June @ Duncan McKinnon Reserve netball courts, Cnr. North Rd & Murrumbeena Rds. Murrumbeena.

Parent helpers: If any parent is keen to assist with umpiring, or coaching a team, please contact Tania Thompson or your child’s class teacher. Thank you.
