Mindful in May

The whole school is encouraged to participate in being more mindful during the month of May. This is a message for not only our kids but our parents and community as well. The aim is to take 10 minutes a day to be mindful, a walk, a mediation, time to stop and take notice of ourselves. It is also about giving back to others. Checking in, helping out or even just being available to other people. Please take a look at the website here to find out more.

The St Finbar's staff have a weekly mindful activity that they have been invited to join in on. You might like to do the same with your families at home. This week's activity is a 10 minute guided mediation. There are many free examples of these online you could explore. Take some time to focus on your body and mind, try and reset so you can face new challenges with a clear mindset.

We are really lucky to have a psychology student, Maddy Roberts-Tims, who will be working with us over the next two terms. We hope to use some of her expertise in building positive social relationships and developing our awareness of mental health and wellbeing.

Thanks again for your continued support end encouragement.

School Podcast - St Finbar's Station

Our Year 6 Tech leaders have been hard at work over the past few weeks setting up and recording the first podcast for the all-new St Finbar's Station.  The first podcast guest is Mr Berlingeri, who is talking all things St Finbar's this term. The tech leaders have recorded and edited the podcast themselves in what has been a brilliant effort. They hope to release a podcast once every two weeks - so please stay tuned for more!

Special thanks to Louise & Jason Hawkins, one of our families here at St Finbar's, who have assisted the school in setting up the podcast station so our students can demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a new and exciting way! The podcasts can be found on the school website!
