On 2nd May, our diving team headed out to Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre for the School Sport Victoria Regional Championships and State Finals. Each diver must perform 4 dives off either the 1m or 3m Springboard and these must be executed using at least 3 different groups of dives. (Forward, Inward, Backward, Reverse and Twisting) The way the day works is that the Regional Championships are run in the morning, where the winner of each region along with the next best 8 divers overall qualify for the State Final in the afternoon. After the Regional competition in the morning, it was fantastic to see that all 5 of our divers qualified for the State Final.
