ANZAC Assembly

Lest we forget

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We shall remember them

ANZAC Day Assemblies hold a special place in our annual calendar of events.

They are an important reminder of all who have lost their lives and livelihoods in the fight for freedom and peace in the past, and of those people who today live in areas of warfare and violent conflict.

At Blackburn High School, our close association and support of the Weary Dunlop Foundation further strengthens our understanding of the importance of those values championed by Sir Dunlop: kindness, leadership and courage. This year students from Dunlop House were proud to present Robert Winther OAM JP Veteran Liaison for the Foundation with a check for $2,722.37 cents raised over the last year for the foundation.
