Year 8 Camp

Year 8 Lake Dewar Camp 

In week 4 of Term 2, 200 of our Year 8 students attended an adventure camp run by YMCA in Lake Dewar near Myrniong. The camp ran for three days and two nights and throughout their time, students participated in a range of fun and team-building activities designed to build their problem-solving abilities, resilience, self-dependence, and cooperation skills. 

Students enjoyed activities including kayaking, adventure tunneling, Gorrong Rocks gorge trek, stand-up paddle boarding, flying fox, orienteering challenges and many more.     

I would like to express my immense gratitude to all the staff and pre-service teachers, who volunteered their time to ensure the camp ran smoothly and made the Year 8 experience a truly enjoyable one for all students.
