Yr 11 & Yr 12 VCE & Careers Expo Excursions

Blackburn High School VCE students were able to experience the 2022 VCE & Careers Expo during Week 1 of Term 2.

Year 11 and 12 students received resources and information for the VCE, tertiary courses, career and gap year options, study strategies and much more.

A feature of The Expo is the seminar program on VCE subjects, study and career advice.

Arrive & Thrive Yr 9 & Yr 10 Morrisby Webinars

Blackburn High School was excited to present webinars providing further information on the Year 9 My Career Insights Program and assisting Year 10 families with reconnecting with the Morrisby Online Platform.

The webinars were presented by Tyson Day from career planning organisation Arrive & Thrive.

Students and parents learned how to reconnect, understand and engage with their Morrisby Profile and results. They also received information on how to use Morrisby as a career planning resource over the coming years at Blackburn HS and beyond. Parents learned skills and  how best to support their young person in their education and the career decisions they make in the future.

Tyson and Arrive & Thrive will return to Blackburn High School for a face-to-face seminar with our Year 11s on Networking and Personal Branding on Wednesday 25th May.

Careers Resources

We are proud to present two careers resources for the Blackburn High School community.

The first is a guide to all current University Early Entry Programs in Australia. Students and families interested in information on receiving early offers for 2023 courses are encouraged to read this guide.

The second is a guide to all of the upcoming Open Days for all Institutions (University, TAFE, RTO) occurring for the rest of 2022. What better way to compare and contrast institutions and get a sense of what Tertiary study is like that attending a few open days?
