Project Compassion 2022

Thank you again for your generous support of Project Compassion 2022. As a school community, we were able to raise approximately $1400 to support needy people around the world.

A special thank you to the Murrie and Swinnerton children who together raised $370.

A huge effort by all!

Easter School Prayer

On Tuesday morning Kindergarten students and teachers led the school community in prayer focusing on the joy and hope of the Easter season. Easter is a time of new beginnings with Christ as our light. On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrated the day Jesus was resurrected – the day he rose from the dead.

As a school community, we are challenged to continue Jesus’ mission of LOVE and outreach to the poor and needy in or community and in the world today?

ANZAC Day

On Tuesday staff and students commemorated ANZAC DAY during a special liturgy. We showed respect for all Australian and New Zealander men and women who served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. This includes soldiers, nurses, animals, and also the families who have been affected by war.

Today we enjoy the freedom won for us by the ANZACS. As a school community we remember their sacrifice and pray that the gift of peace given to us by these brave people will be treasured and protected for generations to come.

Thank you to Mr Walker and the students who led the liturgy. A special thank you to Gail Woodcock, the grandmother of Zoe R (Year 5), who several years ago, knitted the poppies worn by all staff and students during the ANZAC Day commemorations.

' There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.'
John 15:13
