Hands on Learning

There is lots of action in Hands on Learning every week on Fridays. Last week we welcomed Ryan Gerrard into our program. Ryan had previously applied to join and tried again and was successful the second time around. Ryan, along with the other students, has been given a focus plan to work on each Friday. We encourage these students to apply what they learn from their focus plans back in the classroom.

Students have been heavily involved with maintaining their workspace. Students are pictured mowing and whip snipping grass, building work stations and other projects, scrapping old tables from the school to use the recycled timber and building and maintaining a vegie patch. Each week students are also involved in planning, budgeting and preparing meals for the group.

The program was lucky enough to have a trailer donated by Damian Ferrari. The students were very excited to take delivery of it and have launched into restoring it to either sell or for the School to use.

Mr Hooper and Mr Cunningham are really happy with the cooperation and cohesion of the group.
