We are back! It has been so wonderful to be back together again in the classroom. To see our students learning, smiling and laughing with their friends is so heart-warming for us to see.
Education in Faith
The Examen is a form of prayer which is broken up into 5 parts to focus on. The students have participated in The Examen twice during Remote Learning, and we finally were able to practise it together in the classroom.
Inquiry
Our topic for term 4 is Change. As part of this inquiry unit students will be learning about Chemical and Physical change. Last week students completed two experiments that focused on density. They predicted and then hypothesised theories about the density of different liquids. The first experiment was to compare the density of hot and cold water and then cold and salt water. Students then moved onto investigating the density of different liquids by attempting to create layers of liquids based on their density. They hypothesised that if they layered the liquids correctly then they would create layers in their test tube. Students then went onto write about their experiment and results in the form of an explanation text.
